Firestone’s heavy duty Ride-Rite air helper springs are the workhorse of our air helper spring line. The double convoluted air springs offer maximum load support as well as years of worry-free service. Ride-Rite air helper springs can be installed on most light trucks, motor-homes, RV’s, SUV’s and vans. Ride-Rite air helper springs are installed between the frame of the vehicle and the suspension, providing load support through the use of air pressure. Firestone is committed to providing the customer with premium air helper spring kits. Ride-Rite air helper springs have become synonymous with quality, durability, and customer support. Each application is specifically designed to maximize the safe load carrying capacity, stability, and ride quality of the vehicle. Ride-Rite air helper springs utilize a pair of convoluted air springs which can be adjusted for changing loads. These air springs are capable of 3,200 to 5,000 Pounds of load leveling capacity. Ride-Rite air helper springs enhance the ride by reducing inter-leaf friction. Please remember that air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle. Ride-Rite kits are application specific and are designed for hassle-free fitment to the OEM suspension.

Would you buy a Ford Ecosport?
Wed, 21 Aug 2013A couple weeks ago, we asked you if you were interested in a Holden Ute SS from down under, a beast of a truck (or is it car?) that combined the flexibility of a small pickup with the luxury and convenience of a sedan. Oh, and that Holden Ute SS had a 6.0-liter V8 in one of its milder forms; more insane LS3-powered versions are also available. Your answers were unequivocally yes, and who would blame you?
BMW's new M engine needs a better voice
Thu, 26 Sep 2013BMW's M division claims its new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine is every bit as good -- if not better -- than the glorious, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 powerplant it replaces in the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe. The figures are certainly impressive. They say it kicks out 424 hp and more than 25 percent extra torque, with what is described as significantly more than 369 lb-ft below 2,000 rpm.
GM looks to drop some weight with magnesium
Wed, 24 Oct 2012Like many Americans, carmakers are on a continuing quest to lose weight. Less weight, which equals better fuel economy without a loss in performance, is a key selling point in dealerships. Weight loss is a key factor for two upcoming launches from General Motors--the redesigned full-size pickups and SUVs, and the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.
