Please read the entire description carefully for important information. DO NOT rely on ebay shipping calculation. SEE ITEM DESCRIPTION.
This is a very good condition set of 4 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sport F70/15 tires. If you are looking at this you probably know, this is the tire that was used on many muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. For your perfectly restored classic car, nothing else will do. I have included photo of DOT number which I believe indicate manufacture date of the 6th day of either '69,'79,'89, or '99. It is my understanding that in 2000 the code went to 4 numbers, but prior to that it was 3 numbers indicating the sequential day of the year in the first two numbers and the year in the third number, but not the decade. You should research for yourself and not rely on my interpretation of the date coding. I do not believe these to be repro tire, but believe them to be the real thing.
I do not encourage use of these tires on a "driver" since the age is unknown. These tires came on a '71 Corvette that I bought 1 year ago that had been in storage for several years. I recently replaced them with radials. I did occasionally drive the car with these tires on it, and they performed as typical bias ply tires would perform. They show no dry rot or curb damage and look like new. Please look at photos. They were taken with the tires clean, but no Tire Black, Armorall, or tire dressing of any kind.  Tread depth was measured at 9/32+ and they still have the nubs from the moulding process on them.
If you have a trailer queen or just drive conservatively to shows, these would add that measure of originality and period correctness to your car.
I have tried to describe accurately and within my limited knowledge about these tires. You should use your best judgement as to whether they would serve your purpose safely and please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. I anticipate shipping to be $25 to $35 per tire and that will be added to the auction price. If you are within a reasonable driving distance, I would be willing to meet you 1/2 way for a reasonable fuel cost, or you can pick up if desired. We can discuss. I'm not in the parts business or a dealer. I just felt these would be worth something to the purist who want his or her car to look totally correct. My starting price is well in line with what I have researched and I will keep them and buy a separate set of wheel for them if they don't bring the starting price.

Lamborghini Veneno roadster leaked in pictures

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

The insane Lamborghini Veneno has spawned a roadster version, if Internet rumors and pictures are to be believed. Rumors of the roadster surfaced back in July, when CEO Stephan Winkelmann told Car and Driver that a convertible Veneno will be produced and sold at price near $4.5 million. We're hearing that it may actually carry a price tag of around $5.3 million.

Lotus Exige S Roadster arriving Summer 2013 (video)

Thu, 02 May 2013

So the revelation that the Lotus Exige S Roadster – which had an outing as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – is finally making it in to production and will arrive in the Summer of 2013 is exactly the sort of Lotus news we want to hear. Lotus has revealed the Exige S Roadster as a reality in a short tease video (below) telling us the new Lotus will be ‘Ready for the Summer’, although by the time it gets in to the hands of customers summer will probably be already over (if it’s not already – we have had a few nice days in a row). The Exige S Roadster will get the same 345bhp 3.5 litre V6 complete with supercharger as the coupe which will be enough to get you to 62mph in just 4 seconds, and you’ll be able to row it along with either a six-speed manual or automated manual ’box plus, thanks to a very lightweight folding roof and the loss of the back spoiler, the Roadster will weigh no more than the coupe so should handle exactly how a Lotus is meant to.
