That seems to have given Peugeot the idea that it should revive the ’40-something’ badge a couple of years after they dropped the 407 and 607 in favour of the 508 and build a new coupe, this time a four-door. The Peugeot 407 was a larger two-door coupe – the not quite as convincing update for the very good 406 coupe – which had an old-world coupe feel and was very much a niche product in Peugeot’s range.

Jaguar has plumbed its most potent supercharged V8 engine into the XJ, to create the new range-topping XJR. Making its debut at the New York motor show on 27 March 2013, the new model is the fastest Jag limo ever to wear the XJR badge. Another car making its debut at Shanghai will be the Luxgen Neora. The Neora is Luxgen's answer to sustainable personal transportation that has a small a footprint as possible. The car itself is said to offer a larger glasshouse than others in the segment, thanks to its 'unique packaging'.
