It’s the first time Audi has officially acknowledged the existence of the car, and along with the solitary photo, the company has also issued a design sketch and video to drum up interest ahead of the A5 Sportback’s launch later in 2009. Karim Habib has been promoted to the position of Head of BMW Design, a role that will see the 42-year-old Lebanon-born Canadian oversee the design of all BMW cars. Habib has held the position of Head of Exterior Design since March 2011 and will take up his new role at the start of next month. Habib is perhaps best known for his major contribution to the development of the current BMW 7 Series and Concept CS.

Jenson Button has driven his McLaren to a convincing pole position for tomorrow’s F1 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Believe it or not, Jenson Button hasn’t had a pole position for McLaren. Or at least he hadn’t until today when he crushed the competition to take pole in tomorrow’s Spa Grand Prix.
