The cheapest way into R8 ownership remains the V8 Coupe, at £91,575, while the new flagship R8 V10 Plus will set you back a cool £127,575 if you opt for the pricier double-clutch gearbox version. The body has been designed to look like a singular smooth shape, so the glass appears to merge seamlessly with the body panels. Renault also claims the Ondelios's shape enhances the car’s other raison-d’etre: streamlined efficiency (and hence eco-friendliness). Those huge 23-inch aluminium alloys are designed to prevent turbulence and the car has been engineered to be a slippery as possible, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.29Cd.

First leaked picture of the Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing Today we get a leaked ‘Official’ image of the SLS, which does seem to be real. It appears to be taken on a mobile phone – probably from magazine artwork at car magazine Autobild, and doesn’t look like a Photoshop job – it appears to be a photo. Which tends to suggest that Mercedes may have given them the detail for their next issue to coincide with the official release of the pictures, and the first solid detail.
