Great Wall Motors' Haval Coupe concept heading to Beijing
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Great Wall Motors will show the Haval Coupe concept at the upcoming Beijing motor show, an event that looks set to be dominated by this SUV crossover segment.Very few details and only these images of the car in a dark studio so it's impossible to comment on the work of recently-appointed GWM design director Pierre Leclercq, designer of the BMW X6. Car Design News to host trio of events around Shanghai motor show
Wed, 03 Apr 2013As the automotive world looks forward to the Auto Shanghai motor show, Car Design News is looking forward to hosting three events prior to and alongside the show: the CDN Interior Motives China Conference; Car Design Awards China; and the official Car Design Night. CDN Interior Motives China Conference Our annual China conference takes place on Thursday and Friday 18-19 April, just before the press day for this year's show, which is on Saturday 20th. Themed ‘Technology and tradition – old meets new in modern-day China', the conference will explore topics including how to design an experience, fashion and luxury in today's China, HMI design and the ‘multi-mode' interior, which flexes with the user's needs.
The Bentley Art Project
Tue, 10 Nov 2009Designers at Bentley have collaborated to create one-off works of art to benefit the Christie, a specialist cancer center in Manchester, UK. The collection, which features a vast array of sculptures, paintings, digital art and photography created in many different media, will be auctioned off at an exclusive event at Bonhams in London on December 1. The unique pieces, created by created by Bentley's head of design, Dirk van Braeckel; head of interior design Robin Page; chief designer Raul Pires and 20 other designers, digital designers and clay modelers, draw on the skills and techniques utilized in their roles and their enthusiasm for art.
