Infiniti to build new Mercedes A Class based model in UK

The new Infiniti premium hatch, based on the underpinnings of the new Mercedes A Class and looking like the Etherea Concept, will be built in the UK. Infiniti announced only yesterday that it is introducing a new nomenclature for its cars (Q for saloons/coupes and QX for SUVs/Crossovers) and all new cars will come with a Q at the beginning followed by a number to denote its hierarchy in the Infiniti range. Where exactly that leaves the name of the new ‘baby’ Infiniti, we’re not exactly sure (Q30 or Q40 seems the most likely), but we are pretty sure what it will look like and what will be under the skin.

Ford at CES 2011

Ford has been the automotive darling of the Consumer Electronics Show for several years now. On Friday morning, Ford CEO Alan Mulally made a historic third keynote speech, during which he introduced the new Focus Electric and a host of new supporting technologies, which appear to keep Ford near the top of the technological pack. Renault Twingo CC confirmed for 2010

The Renault Twingo CC - in showrooms by Spring 2010 Little cabriolets are flavour of the month/year. The MINI Cabriolet has been a big seller, and the Fiat 500C is a great little car. So, after years of procrastination, Renault has finally confirmed that the concept Renault Twingo CC, first seen at Geneva in 2007, will make it in to production in 2010.
