2013 Range Rover lands in the Middle East
Sat, 20 Oct 2012The new Range Rover – fresh from its world debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show – has now arrived in one of its key markets – the Middle East. There’s no doubt that the UK will be a big market for the new Range Rover, and the US will become even more so if Land Rover can demonstrate the new Range Rover is not just the best luxury SUV there is, but that it’s properly bolted together too. But beyond Land Rover’s home market and the US, it’s the Middle East that beckons as a mainstay of Range Rover sales, so an early presentation to the wealthy clients of Range Rover dealerĀ Al Tayer Motors – the award-winning Land Rover dealers in the UAE – was a must.
Audi Q5 concept is killer
Tue, 19 May 2009Audi has provided the strongest hint yet that it plans to crown its Q5 lineup with an RS model by revealing a one-off, 408-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 concept version of its compact SUV. The vehicle’s public premiere comes this weekend at the annual Woerthersee meet in Austria. Although Audi officials are playing down the importance of the custom concept, insiders have told AutoWeek that it was constructed to provide customer feedback on a possible performance-oriented version of the Q5, the likes of which would almost certainly form part of the company’s future North American lineup.

Probably the biggest stand-out was the carry-over of the suicide doors from the original Meriva Concept (which we do have reservations about) but overall the new Meriva does look a more than half-decent car. But one thing Vauxhall didn’t do was release any pictures of the interior.
