Aston Martin will race this hydrogen-powered, twin-turbocharged Rapide S at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race in May 2013. The radical Rapide is set to become the first hydrogen-powered car to compete in an international racing event, and the only car ever to complete a racing lap of the infamous Nordschleife without emitting so much as a gram of carbon dioxide. Mercedes digs at Jaguar for EATING its Chicken Just a few days ago we had a great video from Jaguar poking fun at Mercedes advert for Magic Body Control that featured chickens demonstrating how MBC worked. Jaguar’s response was to mimic Mercedes opening to the video but following it up with Jaguar’s big cat eating Mercedes chickens. It was a great response and we hoped it would signal a nice bit of back and forth between the Germans and the British as they each tried to outdo the other.

Speakers confirmed for Interior Motives China Conference 2009

Seven new speakers have been confirmed for the 2009 Interior Motives from Car Design News conference in Shanghai, which will run from 21st - 23rd April. Brought to you by the team behind Car Design News and its quarterly interior design publication, Interior Motives, the conference will take place immediately after the two Shanghai Auto Show press days, and bring together the biggest names in Chinese, Asian and Western car design for a two-day program of interactive debate. Chaired by Director of the China Automotive Design Institute and former Nanjing Auto design director, Li-Chih Fu, this two-day summit will see some of the biggest names in the business gather in Shanghai to discuss the issues facing Western and Chinese carmakers searching for success in China.
