Thu, 05 Dec 2013Fuel Duty frozen and car tax discs scrapped Fuel duty makes up a painful chunk of the price of petrol and diesel, and it was due to be increased again next September. But Chancellor George Osborne has announced that the tax hike will be scrapped – as has been the case every year sicne the Con-Dems came to power – saving motorists an additional 2p on a litre of fuel. It may not be a price cut, but at least it’s not going up.

Thu, 19 Aug 2010The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport Thanks to a friend of Cars UK with a healthy appetite for hypercars (and the bank balance to indulge his lust) we were able to break the news to the world that Bugatti were building the ultimate, 1200 hp Veyron – The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - back in June. Bugatti confirmed our story in July with news that the Veyron Super Sport had taken the world speed record for a production car with an average speed run of 267.81 mph. When Bugatti announced the Super Sport and the new World Record, we also got pictures of the world record Veyron which will form the basis for an Orange and Carbon World Record Edition of five cars.
Fisker expanding into Canada

The California-based electric-car manufacturer has partnered with the Dilawri Group, Canada's largest automotive dealer group, and the Field Automotive Group. “Both Dilawri and Fields have the premium-brand experience we want and that the customers expect,” Matt Malfitano, director of North American Market Operations at Fisker, said in a statement.
