Flex-A-Lite 475 electric fan.  Had it on my 2003 Wrangler 4.0L before I sold it.  The built-in fan controller failed and let my Jeep overheat so I eliminated it and wired it to a relay and temp switch on the engine alone with a manual switch in the cab.  It was a much more reliable setup.  The fan works fine, but you will have to wire it your vehicle with a separate controller like Flex-A-Lite sells or do it yourself like I did.  No wiring is included.  The separate bracket for the radiator overflow botttle is included to fit the later model Wranglers.  This fan worked great for keeping the temp down even with the A/C on in the middle of summer.  Great for trail driving when it's hot b/c you can let the fan run constantly.  The box says it fits 1987-1999, but that was b/c it didn't originally include the radiator overflow bottle bracket.  It will fit the later models as evidenced by it fitting my 2003 and should fit up to the end of the TJ in 2006.

This is the older version of the Flex-A-Lite 485 electric fan currently available for $380-$400, so this is a steal starting at only $80!

Saab unable to pay wages as financing crisis deepens

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

Saab's money troubles have worsened to the point that the struggling car maker is unable to pay its employees' wages on the eve of the Swedish mid-summer vacation period. In a brief official statement last night, Saab's parent company Swedish Automobile N.V (formerly Spyker Cars) announced that it was 'will be unable to pay the wages to employees as it has not yet obtained the necessary short-term funding.'  While Swedish Automobile and Saab continue to pursue options for securing short-term financing to solve the cashflow crisis, the company admitted 'there can however be no assurance that these discussions will be successful or that the necessary funding will be obtained.' Saab share prices tumble, Swedish government will not intervene Reaction to the worsening financial crisis from stakeholders has been predictably bleak. Swedish Automobile's shares dropped 61% in value yesterday, and are currently trading at 0.948 euro. The Swedish government, already guaranteeing a €400m loan to Saab by the European Investment Bank, shows no inclination to bail-out Saab, which employs 3800 staff.

Ford tops Scrappage Scheme

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

Ford have made 14,000 sales under the Scrappage Sheme Ford – who are the biggest car seller in the UK anyway – are, not surprisingly, coming out on top in the Scrappage wars. They’ve managed to shift over 14,000 cars under the Scrappage Scheme in the last few months, and orders are coming in at the rate of 300 a day. Top seller is the new Ford Fiesta, with a healthy dose of Fiesta sales being the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic.
