We at Flex-a-lite have been leading the way in cooling product technology for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on our product design, manufacturing and marketing -- but it is our focus on continual process improvement and customer satisfaction with exceptional value and service that keeps us in the forefront of our markets. The brand name "Flex-a-lite" serves, the passenger car, or automotive aftermarket, with belt-driven engine cooling fans, electric fans, transmission and engine oil coolers. The brand name "FAL" offers the same products to the younger sport compact market, and also offers poly carbonate windows. We designed the first plastic Heavy Duty truck fans in 1968 for Class VI & VIII trucks, and produced the first one-piece plastic truck fan in 1977, followed by the first injection molded truck fans in 1979. In 1978, Flex-a-lite developed the first electric engine cooling fan for the U.S. Aftermarket. In 1982, the company began producing vertical incubator systems for salmon and trout hatcheries worldwide under the brand name "MariSource". We also manufacture various metal and plastic components with high-volume and high tonnage punch presses, precision press brakes of various sizes for local customers. We sell products globally through distribution channels that are handled by direct sales managers employed at the company who then use manufacturer representatives to augment the sales effort. Fisheries products are sold directly to State and Federal government agencies, truck fans are sold through various distribution channels including Paccar, Freightliner, Volvo, GM, and Navistar. In 1997, land was purchased in Fife, Washington and our company moved the entire manufacturing plant to our current 65,000 square feet facility. We share a 35,000 square foot outside storage area with our sister company, Cascade Plastics Co., and own 9 adjacent acres for future growth.

Almost, but not quite In yet another – highly expected – sign that the future for car makers is more and more co-operation, Renault-Nissan and Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) have today announced a wide-ranging alliance which will see much of the output of each company utilised by the other. Top of the list for starters is the joint development of the platform for the next SmartForTwo which will be shared by the next generation Twingo.

Mini Coopers really come to life when finished in the marque's signature appearance packages, such as Union Jack roofs and checkered flag mirror caps, and for the third-generation three-door hardtops debuting this spring the automaker is debuting some new designs. Minis have always been about personalization, and since the brand's relaunch under BMW's roof owners seemed to appreciate the cheeky designs that included roof graphics, grille-mounted headlights, racing stripes for the hood, and mirror caps. All those features are coming back for the new 2014 three-door Hardtops, and along with them the company is introducing a lineup of four Mini Characters, called Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, John Cooper Works Pro, and Essential Black.

Buick's lineup is growing--it's getting a new five-passenger crossover in 2010, with a plug-in hybrid following in 2011. The yet-to-be-named vehicle will be smaller than the Enclave and uses a different version of the platform that underpins the GMC Terrain and the Chevrolet Equinox. The move signals General Motors' renewed commitment to its venerable Buick brand, fortifying it with cutting-edge technology and fresh sheetmetal as the company tries to be competitive with four core brands.
