Video: CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition featured by Faces of GM
Wed, 27 Feb 2013'Faces of GM', one of General Motor's social media initiatives, has released its latest video featuring our recent collaborative contest, the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition. Starring several of the winning students as well as the prize-giving event at the Detroit auto show last month, the video features a number of judges and mentors including Mark Adams, executive director global Buick and Cadillac Design. GM and Car Design News's online contest aims to find the next generation of GM designers by presenting a challenge for students to tackle before being mentored on how to improve their designs.
Range Rover Evoque rally car: the Desert Warrior 3
Thu, 08 Nov 2012It was only a matter of time before someone took the slammed and attitudinal Range Rover Evoque and turned it into a rally raid vehicle capable of competing in the Dakar. The new Desert Warrior 3 is the result: a rally racer powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel, tuned to produce between 275-300bhp depending on event restrictions, and a whole host of serious off-roading equipment to transform this from road to race car. College Exhibition: Coventry Degree Show 2006
Fri, 07 Jul 2006Transportation and product design students at Coventry University in England recently displayed their work in the school's summer degree show, one of the two graduation shows per year. A total of 74 students graduated in various fields including Automotive Design, Transport and Product Design, Vehicle Design, Boat Design and Consumer Product Design. With such a large body of graduating students, Coventry have wisely chosen to introduce a separate 'Selected Works' show this year for industry guests, which also opened to the public for one week at the end of June.
