Sat, 28 Nov 2009Peter Sauber has taken control of the BMW Sauber F1 Team BMW is getting out fo Motorsport in a big way. Not only has it left F1 but it’s rumoured that they are also pulling out of WTCC after narrowly losing out to SEAT. But at least the BMW F1 Team looks likely to survive almost intact.

Wed, 30 Oct 2013The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. We’ve talked about a hot version of the new Mercedes A Class almost since Mercedes debuted the Concept A on which the new A Class is based. Back then we speculated – thanks to input from Top Gear – that the AMG version of the new A Class would get 4WD and 350bhp from a turbo 4-pot.
