Toyota FCV-R Hydrogen Fuel Cell Toyota is pushing ahead with hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and plans to be selling tens of thousands a year by 2012, starting with the Toyota FCV-R Toyota may have brought yet another hybrid concept to Geneva, and may we have moaned again about their obsession with flogging hybrid cars. But we can’t argue  they haven’t made a success of turning car buyers on to hybrid cars, however futile a long-term route we may think it is. But it seems Toyota do agree with us on electric cars with no plans to throw their weight behind the EV in a big way, but they are gearing up to try and do with hydrogen fuel cell cars what they’ve done with hybrid cars, and are expecting to be selling tens of thousands of fuel cell powered cars a year by 2020.

Spyker slaps GM with $3 billion lawsuit

Spyker, the Dutch supercar firm and owner of Saab, hit General Motors with a $3 billion lawsuit Monday, claiming GM forced Saab into bankruptcy and interfered with a potential deal with Chinese investors that could have saved the company. Spyker is suing on behalf of Saab, assuming legal costs in exchange for a significant proportion of any potential award. Saab went into bankruptcy in December 2011.

The new Range Rover LWB (pictured) will arrive in showrooms March 2014 It was always a give – especially with demand for luxury cars better able to offer an expansive rear cabin in China – that Land Rover would stretch the Range Rover to create a long wheelbase Range Rover. And here it is. Land Rover has given the new Range Rover an extra 140mm of rear leg room to make it a properly spacious VIP transporter, and seem to have done so without spoiling the Range Rover’s proportions; extended rear doors manage to look like they belong.
