Flowmaster operates the only exhaust Research & Design facilities of its kind in the world, centered around the SuperFlow SF-7100 engine dynamometer complete with E.C.A. (engine cycle analysis) equipment and also SuperFlow chassis dyno's. Through use of these dyno's, Flowmasters engineering staff can track the complete engine cycle in millionths of a second and can obtain exact technical data of each degree of cam rotation, from induction to the tip of the exhaust system, while also showing the power numbers that really matter, the power numbers to the ground. Flowmaster also utilizes Spectrum Analyzers to fine tune the sound of each of the eleven different series of mufflers that Flowmaster currently offers, both for peak performance and just the right sound levels and tones. Wed, 19 Mar 2014French rally driver and professional skier Guerlain Chicherit's attempt to beat Tanner Foust's Guinness World Record for the longest car jump ended badly on Tuesday, March 18. Chicherit was attempting to jump a specially prepared Mini Countryman 360 feet from ramp to ramp before a crowd of onlookers at Tignes ski resort in France, in an bid to beat Foust's 322 foot car jump record which has stood since 2011. It appeared that Chicherit was off to a good start with plenty of momentum, even though the surface may have been a bit uneven for an ideal departure ramp.

And now we’re getting the STI version. The Subaru WRX STI will debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show and is expected to go on sale in the US by mid 2014.
