The Grand National Roadster Show is like church, with chrome trim
Fri, 29 Jan 2010You can argue all day about which is the best and most influential hot-rod show in the world, but we'll take the Grand National Roadster Show, which will be held this weekend at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. This is the 61st running of what grizzled veterans have simply called "Oakland," after the city that hosted it for its first half-century. Jaguar sports hatch is inspired by R-D6 concept
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Jaguar plans to add a dramatically styled sports-hatch model to its lineup beginning in 2014. To be priced from about $60,000, the sports hatch on the drawing board was inspired by the R-D6 concept first shown at the 2003 Frankfurt motor show. The R-D6 design, which had been considered an ill fit for the brand's traditional sedan/sports-car image, is now gaining support at the highest levels of the company as it forges an independent future under Indian owner Tata.
Ford C-Max and Mondeo spotted in Detroit
Mon, 26 Mar 2012Detroiter Spencer Abbott spotted a couple of Euro Fords out cruising the boulevards of suburban Detroit this weekend. Like a good Autoweek reader, he snapped a few photos as soon as it could be done safely. The C-Max can be easily explained, as Ford plans to start selling the little people mover stateside this fall.
