Vauxhall to launch sub-£7k city car
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Vauxhall is believed to be working on a budget city car to rival the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 trio unveiled earlier this month at Geneva. According to Auto Express, the new small hatchback will be based on the Chevrolet Spark platform and will start at less than £7,000 – undercutting the firm’s current Adam model by over £4,000. Fri, 30 Aug 2013The Nissan LEAF (pictured) will be joined by 4 more electric Nissans The Nissan LEAF may be the most successful electric car in the world, but the numbers Nissan manages to sell are still tiny. But in a clear indication that Nissan still believes there’s a future for the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, they’ve revealed they have plans for four further EV models. Three of those models are already clear; an Infiniti with the electric drivetrain from the LEAF, an electric version of the NV200 van and the LEAF itself.
First Jaguar F-Type customer cars leave Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich
Fri, 10 May 2013The first proper sports car from Jaguar since the E-Type ended production almost 40 years ago (and it could be argued the later V12 E-Types were more a GT than a proper sports car), the F-Type is a hook to hang Jaguar’s future intent on – and it seems to be making a pretty good fist of it. It may not be cheap (you’ll pay £80k for a V8 F-Type) and it may be heavier than its lightweight aluminium underpinnings promise, but it looks great, goes very well and seems to have proper Jaguar ‘Soul’. A winning combination.
