Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its SLS AMG supercar will bow out at the 2013 LA and Tokyo Motor Shows with a limited-numbers GT Final Edition. The 350 examples of the SLS AMG GT Final Edition available are said to represent the ‘last opportunity’ for interested buyers to purchase an SLS before it gets pensioned off – perhaps in favour of a newer, smaller AMG-built sports car. The Russo and Steele auction site in Scottsdale, Ariz., was closed Friday morning--and may not open to the public at all during the day--as city and auction officials assess damage after high winds Thursday night ripped tents from their anchors and damaged several cars. Scottsdale police were not letting anyone into the site as collapsed tents and metal beams remain a hazard. One person was treated for minor injuries.

The Peugeot RCZ is an appealing little sports coupe from Peugeot which, with a different badge and greater performance, might garner more kudos than it does. There’s little Peugeot can do about the badge, but they have done something about the power on offer with the arrival of the RCZ R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer. Now, the Peugeot RCZ is about to go on sale in the UK – order books open on 18th November – and it will cost a not unreasonable £31,995.
