So it’s nice to report a new car from Peugeot instead (particularly if you’re in to boy-racer Peugeots) with a limited edition Peugeot 207 on offer. Peugeot has announced the Peugeot 207 S16 to celebrate its domination of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for the last three years, and of Kris Meeke in winning the 2009 IRC drivers’ title.
VW will build small run of XL1 plug-in hybrid
Wed, 26 Jan 2011Volkswagen will begin production of its XL1 plug-in hybrid in two years. "We want to go into series production with this car starting in 2013," VW chairman Ferdinand Piech told Automotive News Europe on Tuesday at an event in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the 2011 Qatar auto show where VW unveiled an XL1 prototype. But there’s one more S-Class to come – the 2014 Mercedes S65 AMG. We’re expecting the S65 AMG to arrive at the Los Angeles Auto Show later in 2013, but it looks like Mercedes are readying some promotional videos for their new range-topping powerplant in the S65, with a completely undisguised car caught on video.
