Toyota 4Runner Surf Pickup Truck foil trace circuit board in GOOD working order. WATCH VIDEO below showing the cluster working prior to removal. BE SURE Your foil trace is your problem before buying. Make a very close visual comparison of yours and this one to be sure it is the SAME. This trace works on clusters with a SPEEDOMETER CABLE. Those models were used in 1989, 1990 and 1991. 1992 and newer models have electronic speedometers which use a completely different foil trace or circuit board. This Foil Trace is VERY easy to change. If you can remove your cluster from the dash. Your VERY capable of changing out the trace. All you have to do is remove Remove the cluster from the dash. You will remove ALL the screws and light bulbs on the back of the cluster. Remove your old trace and gently put this one back in place. Install all the screws and light bulbs in their correct locations. Might take a photo of your cluster before removing anything so you have something to look at to help getting the bulbs back in their correct spots. Not all bulb holes are used so keep that in mind. Pop the cover lens back on and your done. This gauge is VERY easy to change. If you can remove your cluster from the dash. Your VERY capable of changing out the gauge. All you have to do is move the front cover lens which is simply held in place by 4 snap tabs on the top and bottom. After the cover is removed. You will remove three screws on the back of the cluster right behind where the gauge is. Your old gauge will drop right out of the cluster panel. Now you simply put this one in its place. CCS students tackle GM project
Thu, 03 Jun 2010Seniors studying Transportation Design at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Michigan, have recently completed a project with General Motors that has been underway since late 2009. General Motors challenged the students to design an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) that focused on the brand identity of Buick, Cadillac or Chevrolet, utilized the EREV components, and optimized aerodynamic attributes. Design features that incorporated sustainability materials and efficiency were also considered important components of the design development.
