Original GM fold down rear seat from a 1969 Camaro. Correct for 1968 and 1969 Camaro. Standard black interior. We have owned this seat set since 1980. Always in a show car and garaged. Auction comes with the following items:

  • All original and complete fold down seat back. Black vinyl standard cover and carpet are original!
  • Black original seat bottom that was recovered in 1984. Color matches the seat back.
  • One set of all original coupe rear inner side arm rest panels with both original ash trays with ribbed covers. Vinyl is all original black.
  • One set of all original coupe rear inner upper side well covers.
  • One set of two NOS ash tray inserts never used and new.
  • One back seat latch with chrome release knob purchased from Classic Industries in the 80's. Don't know if they are GM or OER.
  • Two rubber seat back stops.
  • One fold down seat partition purchased from Classic Industries and almost new.

The seat back is in near perfect shape. ****all original GM**** Seat cover is original and excellent. The vinyl is as nice as when it was made, not faded or dried out. No imperfections that you can see anywhere when the seat is installed. There are two very small spots on the very bottom of the seat back vinyl that sit against the seat bottom so they are unseen (see the last two pictures). One on the drivers side and one on the passenger's side. Carpet is slightly faded but original and near perfect shape. We would not replace but dye it. Hinges great and work properly. Metal trim excellent and not dented up. The marks on it in the left side of the second picture is just handling dust. The seat back looks flawless installed.

Seat bottom is original with a recover in 1984. Vinyl color and pattern not damaged and matches the original seat back. Springs are excellent and not rusted out. Padding is excellent.

Inner arm rest panels all original black vinyl. The panels are in excellent shape and not rusted out. The vinyl is near perfect on the passenger's side panel and the vinyl is excellent on the driver's side. This side has some marks around the stitching area (see last picture). Both have the original, ribbed ash try covers. The chrome is excellent and the lid works properly. The two ash tray inserts are GM NOS and never used. The upper well covers are excellent with no rust or dents.

Hardware is excellent with no issues. Partition is excellent, not ripped or faded, included but not in pictures. Items needed to make it a complete fold down seat system: 1 set of hinge brackets that mount to the car body and a partition holder (rail) that the divider sits on. The hinges are in the car, so if you bent on having them, we will remove them from the car. Both of those items are readily available from suppliers such as NPD or Classic Industries.

We have a ton of pictures of this seat set so please ask and we will send as many as you would like. Any more questions concerning something we left out, please ask. We will not end the auction early or give out the reserve, so please do not ask. Bid with confidence as we are a trusted seller here on Ebay. Check our feedbacks please. Pick up only. All the items have a money back guarantee. We may consider shipping but it would be outside of the auction, paid for separately, and not refundable.  Thanks!

Jaguar XFR & Jaguar XKR – UK Debut

Mon, 11 May 2009

The Jaguar XFR - together with the Jaguar XKR - gets a UK début at MotorExpo 2009 in June The XFR and the XKR will both début at the London MotorExpo 2009, which takes place in Canary Wharf from 8-14 June. Which is probably the best venue Jaguar could come up with (apart from perhaps Salon Prive or the Top Gear Show) as we don’t have a Motor Show any more. Still, the plus is that MotorExpo is a free entry event, which helps, and Jaguar are expecting around 350,000 visitors, which is not too shoddy.

Porsche 911 (2011) the first official video of the 991

Tue, 19 Jul 2011

Prototypes of Porsche’s new 991-spec 911 haven’t been snapped out on test by our spies this week, so just in case you’ve been having withdrawal symptoms, Stuttgart’s most famous sports car manufacturer has released its own video of its iconic car. What does Porsche’s official video of the new 911 reveal?  Shot in South Africa during the 991’s final validation and testing phase, the video is our best look yet at the new 911 on the move. We finally get to hear the flat six engines, and get glimpses under the bonnet and inside its Panamera-inspired interior – look closely and you can spy the seven forward speeds etched onto the gearknob for the manual ‘box.  Beyond that there’s little more to see, as Porsche won’t reveal the new 911 until the 2011 Frankfurt motor show this September.

Winners of the 'Ultimate LA Machine' Design Challenge announced

Sat, 22 Jan 2005

The judges of the Los Angeles Auto Show's Design Challenge have named the Dodge Superbee and Volkswagen Mobile Lounge as joint-winners of the first ever automobile design studio competition. Designer Reto Brun of Volkswagen/Audi Design Center California said his studio considered two Los Angeles issues when designing the Volkswagen Mobile Lounge - an antidote to traffic and a better option for the area's "limo-centric" entertainment culture. Whisper-quiet fuel cell technology whisks occupants towards their destination while electronically controlled tinted glass, an open living space and innumerable in-car amenities provide a supremely comfortable environment.
