Vauxhall calls its new 2013 city car the Adam
Tue, 08 May 2012Vauxhall has revealed the name for its new city car – the car previously dubbed Junior will in fact be called the Adam. It’s one of the more oddball car names we’ve heard recently. As well as announcing the Adam name, Vauxhall today issued two photographs of a disguised city car, giving us the first official glimpse of its new hatchback.
New Peugeot 308 GT hot hatch due on sale in 2014
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Peugeot The Peugeot 308 GT will be unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show this September, according to company insiders. Speaking at the launch of the 308 SW estate, Peugeot sources told us that the 308 GT will be revealed in its home market and is likely to go on sale before the end of the year. Technical details haven't been announced, but the 308 GT is expected to use a version of the 208 GTi's turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, with a similar power output of about 200hp.
Kansas City car dealer admits to sending $23,500 to al-Qaida
Fri, 21 May 2010A Kansas City used-car and auto-parts dealer admitted in federal court to sending $23,500 to terrorist group al-Qaida. Khalid Ouazzani pleaded guilty on Wednesday to terrorism-related charges in court in Missouri and admitted he sent the money to the terrorist organization through a bank in the United Arab Emirates in 2007-08. He also pleaded guilty to bank fraud and money laundering.
