The McLaren MP4-12C tackles the Goodwood hillclimb As we reported last week, McLaren used the Goodwood Festival of Speed to give their new road car – the McLaren MP4-12C – itsĀ firstĀ proper public outing. But they didn’t settle for just having a static display or even a poodle round his Lordship’s grounds for the benefit of the crowd. They brought along their pair of F1 World Champions – Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton – to strut their stuff up the Goodwood hillclimb in the 12C.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe glitzy L.A. debut Jaguar promised the new F-Type Coupe would get a proper high-profile reveal on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and they certainly delivered. Jaguar’s design guru – Ian Callum – had told Jaguar’s PR people that he wanted the debut to be at speed, and that was achieved by driving the F-Type Coupe in to a specially prepared warehouse in California at 100mph, cutting a swathe through a series of sharp spotlights as the F-Type arrived in the arena.

The sub-Fabia sized hatchback would take on cars like the Citroen C2 and 2008 Ford Ka replacement. Skoda says the Joyster has decent interior space, and an airy feel thanks to a full-length sunroof.
