MP calls for taxis to have CCTV
Wed, 30 Oct 2013HIGH RISK situations for taxi drivers could be mitigated by installing CCTV cameras in all minicabs and taxis, according to a Conservative MP. Bedford MP Richard Fuller said that cameras, which are long overdue, would also help make passengers feel safer. Proposing his Licensed Hackney carriages and private hire vehicles (Closed circuit television) Bill, Mr Fuller said: "In this Bill, I would propose that we should provide for secure and encrypted CCTV." Mr Fuller's Bill would ensure that recordings would only be for police access and only in specific cases.
CAR sets new hybrid speed world record in Infiniti M35h
Tue, 20 Sep 2011Infiniti M35h Hybrid (2011) long-term test review CAR Magazine has set a new Guinness World Record for an acceleration run in a hybrid car. Associate editor Tim Pollard drove an Infiniti M35h hybrid to record a 13.9sec time over the standing quarter mile - as quick as a Lamborghini Countach would've been in the 1980s. Honda reveals ‘Forza’ design contest winner in Chicago
Mon, 10 Feb 2014Honda teamed up with “Forza Motorsport” to reveal the winning entry in the “Forza Motorsport” Civic Si Design Contest at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show on Friday. The winner was Tiffany Labedz of Phoenix, who beat out 17,000 other members of the Xbox “Forza” community. "At Honda, we love meeting our customers where their passion lies, and the racing and custom car design in ‘Forza Motorsport’ is definitely a passion for so many Honda and Civic enthusiasts," said Tom Peyton, Honda’s assistant vice president of advertising.
