Caterham will launch its most hardcore road-going Seven ever at the 2013 Goodwood motor show. Called the 620R, the new range-topper develops 310bhp, and will hit 60mph in 2.79sec, making as fast as an a 691bhp Lamborghini Aventador. The 620R replaces the R500 in Caterham's range, and costs £49,995.

In the sales race between pony cars, the Chevrolet Camaro is beginning to leave the Ford Mustang in the dust. The Camaro has steadily outpaced the Ford Mustang for the first four months this year--the Camaro beat the Mustang by 2,672 sales in April alone. For the year to date, Chevrolet has sold 30,824 Camaros, compared with Ford's 23,599 Mustangs.

Chevrolet's press conference at the 2012 North American International Auto Show was all about youngsters: namely the millennials, or 11-30-year-olds who hold increasing consumer power. GM reckons there are 80 million of them in the US, and they account for $1 trillion of spending power. So it's worth taking them seriously.
