Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept heading to Pebble Beach
Mon, 15 Aug 2011Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept Lotus has taken away the Exige from its American customers with the Exige Matte Black Final Edition heralding the end, but is planning on giving back something a bit meatier at Pebble Beach trhis month in the shape of the Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept. All we’ve got so far is one (less than wonderful) image of the Evora GTE Road Car and a bit of detail. That bit of detail tells us that the Evora GTE Road Car is based on / inspired by the Lotus Evora GTE, which recently ran the Le Mans 24 Hours, and gets a tuned version of the regular Toyota V6 to deliver 420bhp .
Renault Twingo Renaultsport (2008): first official pictures
Thu, 31 Jan 2008By Tom Clarkson First Official Pictures 31 January 2008 18:17 Renault today unveiled its new 133bhp Twingo RS in Paris - with a little help from F1 stars Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jnr, who were in town for the launch of their R28 F1 car. The Twingo RS has a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre engine that produces 20bhp more than the 1.2-litre turbo of the Twingo GT. There are cosmetic differences between the two cars as well, such as extended front and rear wings, a rear spoiler and a lower front bumper on the RS.
XFR Jag the fastest ever
Tue, 13 Jan 2009They took with them the usual holiday toys, but they remembered to pack a nice new Jaguar XFR, with a few mods necessary to run at Bonneville (roll cage, fire extinguishers, etc). They had a little fiddle with the ECU to derestrict it (and yield 600bhp) but, it is claimed, made no further mods apart from adding a spoiler at the back to stop the XFR taking off on the Salt Flats’ wide open spaces. Jaguar XFR breaks 225mph at Bonneville So what happened?
