2010 Ford Escape SUV to enhance safety technology

Building upon the Escape's full five-star crash rating are Ford's new MyKey teen-safety system and an integrated spotter mirror. Toyota to build RAV4 EV in Ontario

The electric crossover will use powertrains supplied by Tesla from California. The companies began transforming gasoline-powered RAV4 SUVs into functional EV prototypes last July.

Quite, but the increase is a mere 5bhp, taking the output of Nissan's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 from 473 to 478bhp. Nissan says the extra grunt comes from the fine tweaking of the electronics, though torque remains unchanged at 432lb ft.
