Europe trailing on ESP safety
Fri, 21 Feb 2014NOT ENOUGH new cars in Europe are being specified with an electronic stability programme (ESP) that is proved to be most important safety system in prevent collisions. Research by Frost and Sullivan has found Europe is lagging behind North America, where there is almost 100% success with fitting news cars with ESP. Despite ESP being included in the European New Car Assessment Programme since 2011, the study shows there has been only a minimal increase in the number of cars sold that have ESP.

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo that’s now arrived at the Detroit Auto Show – after a small leak of Veloster Turbo pictures this morning – may not be exactly the same as the Veloster Turbo we’ll get in the UK (more on that in a moment), but it’s close enough to give us a good idea of what the Turbo will add to the Veloster equation. Tue, 27 Mar 2012Amko Leenarts has been appointed Director of Global Interiors Design Strategy at Ford Motor Company, effective from 1 June 2012. Leenarts will be tasked with developing the future interior design strategy for both the Ford and Lincoln brands worldwide, working alongside the company's global leadership team and reporting directly to J Mays, Group Vice President of Global Design and Chief Creative Officer at Ford Motor Company. He will be based in the company's Merkenich studio in Germany.
