MINI Superleggera Vision concept unveiled
Tue, 27 May 2014Doesn’t this look pretty special? It’s the MINI Superleggera Vision concept – a modern interpretation of the classic open-top two-seater created by MINI and Italian design house Touring Superleggera. Ferrari 599 Hybrid – it’s a very ‘Green’ Ferrari
Sat, 27 Feb 2010The very green Ferrari 599 Hybrid at Geneva To a die-hard petrol head, Ferrari lover or frankly anyone with a proper sense of right and wrong, the idea of a ‘Green’ Ferrari is anathema. We’ve known for a while that Ferrari were working on a Hybrid, and we recently revealed it would be a hybrid version of the Ferrari 599.
Bentley 6¾ litre V8 to end production – Diesels & Hybrid on the way
Fri, 17 Aug 2012Bentley’s outgoing boss has revealed Bentley are planning to drop their trademark 6¾ litre V8 and introduce hybrid and diesel options. Bentley’s famed 6¾ litre V8 engine – in production since 1959, although it didn’t grow to 6¾ litre until 1970 - is as much a USP for Bentley as the badge and the history. BMW tried to bring production of the old iron lump to an end in 1998 – replacing it with a characterless BMW 4.4 litre V8 – but it was back a year later when VW took over as the motivation for the Red Label Arnage – and it’s stayed ever since.
