The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C launches in Japan today Subaru has today launched the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C on to the Japanese market. Subaru are building just 900 Spec C cars which feature a number of improvements over the already available STI spec. Subaru has dropped the weight – by an undisclosed amount – by fitting a smaller battery, aluminium bonnet and laminar glass at the front and sides.

The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider debuted at the Geneva motor show on Tuesday. The soft top is scheduled to enter production in 2015, right about the time Alfa says it will return to the United States. The 4C gets Alfa's 1.75-liter turbocharged four, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Toyota to end Australian manufacturing in 2017

When Holden announced that it would no longer build cars in Australia after 2017, that country’s flagging automotive industry was effectively put on notice -- Mitsubishi had stopped building cars there in 2008, and Ford says its two plants there will close in October 2016. Now Toyota has announced that it has no option but to end vehicle Australian vehicle production. Like Holden, it will close its factories there in 2017.
