This came off of a late 70',maybe early 80's motor that blew it s power head. This fits many models and years of the early Chry /Forces.  This is extremely clean, a freshwater unit. These are almost impossible to find in good condition. I believe this will fit the 70 hp,up but I do not know how high the H.P .  These are very easy to distingwish between the new type lower unit and these older units.  The newer type unit's top edge come from the front  straight back to the rear of the unit, with a long sweeping angle, where as these have the odd shape configureation that goes to the back of the lower unit with the plain to see the narrowing of the case as it goes to the back 4 or 5 inches.  These are not interchangeable as the upper housing [mating surface] are also different. This unit has a water pump and housing, they may be ok. If you have a motor that uses this type, better "BUY IT NOW" and hide it under your bed till you need it.  If you buy it I throw in the black propeller for free,[a$100 value]  Look at the pic's closely, ask questions, measurements, call your dealer etc. BEFORE YOU BID!!

Concept Car of the Week: BMW Spicup (1969)

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

The oddly named Spicup, standing for Spider and Coupé, was first presented at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show. Carozzeria Bertone had previous collaborations with BMW such as the 3200CS coupe by Giugiaro. The friendship between Nuccio Bertone and Willhelm Hoffmeister, head of bodywork construction at BMW, must have also contributed to the brand agreeing to provide an early pre-production of the E3 generation 2500 saloon as a base for the concept.
