Imperial Beach, California, United States
Condition:Used

This Ford Model A Tailgate is in very good condition considering its age.  1928 1929 1930 1931.  The ruler is used to show the flatness or the straightness of the panel.  The tailgate appears to have been media blasted and primered to both sides.  There is light surface oxidation.  The top edge is in very good condition with small deviations.  As the photo indicates, there are approx. five 1/16" holes drilled in the top edge.  Probably from a person that did not know how to install the bed tonneau snaps correctly.  There are approx 5 tonneau snaps to the underside of the gates top edge.  The bed corners, edges, top and bottom, latches and hinge support flat bars and overall condition of the tailgate is very good.  The item is not perfect.  There is minimal body work necessary to make this piece perfect.  I could not see any hammer and dolly impact marks or shrinking of the metal via torch or any tool anywhere on this item.  This tailgate is devoid of any bondo/plastic filler from what i can determine.  This is a fantastic and what appears to be an original tailgate.  This item was removed from a roadster pickup Hotrod.  Good luck on your bidding!  Thank you!
