Car clocking fraud on rise again

There could be as many as 486,000 vehicles with a false mileage on the road in the UK, according to vehicle history experts, HPI. The act of “clocking” a vehicle has been around for a number of years and is something that was made easier with the arrival of digital odometers. In the past, the mis-aligned digits and exposed screw heads meant that a clocked car was relatively easy to spot.

IAM offers advice for windy driving

ROAD SAFETY charity the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) is offering advice to drivers on coping with windy weather, as more inclement weather sweeps across the country. Peter Rodger, the IAM's chief examiner, has offered the following tips for driving in high winds: Plan your journey – is there a route with less exposure to the weather and less risk of fallen trees? Lotus City Car supermini: a future with Proton

Lotus hopes to launch its city car with partner firm Proton, according to a new interview published today. The Lotus City Car concept was the sixth member of the Lotus Everything launchpad at this month's Paris motor show, and had been assumed to be a technical showcase rather than a serious production car. However, in an interview with Automotive World, Lotus CEO Dany Bahar admits that the Lotus City Car was developed in tandem with its Malaysian owners Proton.
