Well gosh darn this is nice.  This is a Ford 223 valve cover, sand blasted and silver powder painted.  I added my high powdered polished aluminum breather to the side of the cover for some curb appeal. Then I added my new Offenhauser dual intake manifold to the package to create a little "Awe".  The intake does not look shiny new, has some patina from evidently laying around the barn out of it's packaging, but has zero evidence of ever being bolted-up, no bolt or washer gouges.  I actually have several Holley 1904 one barrels and Holley 94 two barrels, but no time to get them rebuilt.  It I ever get a pair rebuilt (which was the plan) I'll add them to this package with a appropriate price increase. This listing presently includes the valve cover with breather and the raw intake manifold.

New Jaguar XF R-Sport is the start of more R-Sport models from Jaguar

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

The Jaguar XF R-Sport (pictured) adds sport looks to the saloon and Sportbrake The big news from Jaguar for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show is the arrival of a barnstorming XF Estate – the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake – with its 542bhp supercharged V8. But also heading for Geneva is a more lowly XF that might not grab the headlines but will probably do more for Jaguar’s bottom line than the XFR-S – the new Jaguar XF R-Sport. Available as an XF saloon or XF Sportbrake, the XF R-Sport is Jaguar’s take on stuff like BMW M Sport and Mercedes AMG Line (but without any power or suspension tweaks) and is aimed at owners and drivers who want the sporty looks of cars like the XFR but want it powered by something more prosaic.

First Sight: BMW 1 Series

Thu, 25 Mar 2004

This is the first BMW to compete in the premium lower medium European car class defined by cars such as the Audi A3 and Alfa Romeo 147, although spiritually it follows the significantly smaller BMW 2002 Touring produced from 1968 to 1976. A little more compact that the 3 Series (which will grow in size with next year's new model) the 1 Series effectively replaces the 3 Series-based Compact and extends the brand downward to just above the Mini. The 1 Series was previewed by the CS1 two door convertible concept shown two years ago at Geneva, with which it shares much of its exterior proportions and form, and some interior design themes.

Hyundai ix20 (2010) first official teaser sketch

Thu, 02 Sep 2010

Hyundai is the latest car manufacturer to join the mini-MPV party, with the upcoming ix20, and ahead of its preview at the Paris motor show at the end of this month, the Korean company has released this teaser sketch. Designed and developed at Hyundai’s European research and development centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the ix20 is essentially Hyundai’s version of sister firm Kia’s Venga.  Hyundai would have you believe it’s a little bit of both – the ‘ix’ moniker has been chosen to suggest its cross-over like capability. The Korean manufacturer says the ix20 is ‘a vehicle with the ability to simultaneously serve as a functional people-carrier while providing a dynamic, fun-to-drive experience’; the Venga has shown that it’s a capable and competent, if unexciting, small MPV.
