Update your old ride with a Tuff Dawg EFI engine with todays technology! This Ford 390 EZ-EFI® turnkey crate engine by Tuff Dawg Engines is custom built with a camshaft to match your application and use and would would be EXCELLENT for your 1965 to 1976 4x4 pickup. Remove that old Ford 352, Ford 360, or Ford 390 and install this Ford 390 to bring your 4x4 to life! This Ford 390 is a direct bolt-in, no modifications are needed! This Ford 390 puts the focus on torque where you need it most in a 4x4. This engine will run on leaded or unleaded Premium fuel.

The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, and balancer) featured in this engine:

  • 3.780" stroke nodular iron crank
  • 6.488" big beam forged rods with ARP rod bolts
  • 9½ to 1 compression pistons

More special features of this engine include:

  • Seasoned 2-bolt main block
  • Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal
  • New Hydraulic flat tappet cam that is designed to produce strong torque with excellent throttle response in a heavy body 4x4 which we will custom match to your specific application and use
  • Heads have 2.030"Int/1.560"Exh valves
  • New Hardened exhaust seats for use with leaded or unleaded fuel
  • New 1.440" high performance springs set up to match cam
  • New Spiral-type valve guides for better oil retention
  • New Perfect Circle rings
  • New Double row timing set
  • New Oil pump with steel drive shaft and bolt on oil pickup tube
  • New Brass expansion plugs
  • New Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold. This dual plane intake constant cross-sectional area design builds low end and mid-range acceleration while optimized runner path make top-end hp
  • All parts are painted separately before assembly for that show quality look

This engine comes completely assembled with 4x4 oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, valve covers, and intake manifold.

This Is A Real Turnkey Engine

This engine has been started on gas and run. The camshaft has been broken in and the valves adjusted. The 4150 throttle body and timing has been initially set, but should be checked after installing in vehicle.

  • New EZ-EFI® self tuning fuel system. Complete package including ecu, throttle body, fuel rails, wide band O2 sensor, wiring harness, fuel injectors, and electric fuel pump. The easy to use setup wizard provides a comprehensive walk through and the system tunes itself.

  • New MSD Pro-Billet distributor, MSD 6AL box, and MSD Blaster coil

Chrysler first-quarter profits down

Chrysler Group said net income fell to $166 million in the first quarter as costs of two large product launches crimped the automaker's seventh consecutive quarterly profit. Profit fell 65 percent from the $473 million posted during the same quarter of 2012, Chrysler said in a statement today. First-quarter revenues dropped 6 percent to $15.4 billion.

The Fisker Atlantic prototype, developed under the codename Project Nina, has been officially unveiled at a special VIP event on the eve of the New York motor show. This luxury extended-range four-door sedan, described by Fisker as a design prototype, is aimed at young families, and uses the same hybrid plug-in as the Fisker Karma. A standout feature of the Atlantic is the rigid ‘spider' structure, which allows for a generous amount of rear headroom for a fastback car as well as maximizing the light entering the cabin while offering increased visibility to the car's surroundings.
