 I have a 1966 Ford Thunderbird 428 engine block Date code 5M8 (1965 December 8th) and the 428 crankshaft 1U, and the rods and pistons from the same engine. It was a running engine when taken apart. Standard bore. It has the X cast marking on the rear side.  This is not a later Cobra Jet block, but would have been correct for early Shelby GT 500 cars.  It is is good usable condition. Christopher Reitz has been appointed to the top job at Alfa Romeo, replacing Frank Stephenson as Director of Design. A relative of Wolfgang Porsche, Christopher Reitz graduated from Art Center Europe in Switzerland and began his career at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg in 1993. Reitz joined Audi in Ingolstadt from 1996 to 1998, where he was in charge of Advance Design.
