YOU ARE BIDDING ON A FRESHLY REBUILT AUTOLITE 4100 SERIES 4 BARREL CARBURETOR. THE NUMBER STAMPED ON THE BASE IS C0AE-K. IT HAS THE 1.12 VENTURI. AS IS OFTEN THE CASE WITH THE C0AE CARBS, THE NUMBER IS POORLY STAMPED AND VERY FAINT, BUT IT IS READABLE. THE SPECIFIC APPLICATION IS A 1960 GALAXIE, THUNDERBIRD, AND EDSEL WITH THE 352 FE MOTOR. I DO NOT USE GENERIC OR "FILE" PHOTOS IN MY LISTINGS. THE CARBURETOR PICTURED IS THE ACTUAL CARBURETOR YOU ARE BIDDING ON.

THANKS TO THE LEGENDARY VERSATILITY OF THE 4100 AUTOLITE CARBURETOR, THIS UNIT WILL WORK VERY WELL ON ANY BIG BLOCK FORD, MERCURY, EDSEL, OR PICK UP. ALTHOUGH IT WILL ALSO BOLT TO ANY SMALL BLOCK INTAKE MANIFOLD, IT IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR A BIG BLOCK MOTOR. I HAVE OTHER CARBURETORS AVAILABLE THAT ARE BETTER SUITED FOR SMALL BLOCK APPLICATIONS. PLEASE INQUIRE.

MY CARBURETORS ARE TOTALLY DISASSEMBLED, INSPECTED AND CLEANED, ( NEVER PAINTED ). THEY ARE REBUILT USING A NAME BRAND KIT THAT EXCEEDS THE OEM MANUFACTURERS QUALITY SPECIFICATIONS AND IS DESIGNED FOR TODAY'S FUELS. THEY ARE SET TO THE BASIC FACTORY ADJUSTMENTS, READY TO BOLT ON AND GO. HOWEVER, DUE TO VARYING DEGREES OF ENGINE WEAR AND FUEL QUALITY, MINOR ADJUSTMENTS MAY BE NEEDED. THE MOUNTING GASKETS ARE, AS ALWAYS, SHIPPED WITH CARBURETOR.

I'VE BEEN REBUILDING THESE 4100 4 BARREL AND 2100 2 BARREL CARBURETORS SINCE THE 60s, AND I'VE BEEN SELLING THEM ON EBAY FOR OVER 8 YEARS. THESE ARE QUALITY REBUILDS OF FORDS MOST VERSITILE AND RELIABLE CARBURETORS. THERE ARE A LOT OF REBUILDERS SELLING ON EBAY THESE DAYS. JUST INSTALLING NEW GASKETS IS NOT A REBUILD. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO IS DOING GOOD QUALITY WORK, ALWAYS CHECK FEEDBACK BEFORE YOU BID. THAT WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU CAN TRUST.

PLEASE VIEW MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE QUALITY VINTAGE FORD AND MERCURY PARTS. I ACCEPT PAY PAL OR POSTAL M/O AS PAYMENT FOR MY ITEMS. I DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. THANKS FOR LOOKING.

1961 Ford Gyron concept scale model sells for $40,000

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

A scale model of the 1961 Ford Gyron concept has sold at auction for $40,000, around four times its estimate. The space-age concept car – designed by Alex Tremulis, McKinley Thompson, Syd Mead, Bill Dayton, John Najjar, and Elwood Engel – debuted in 1961 at the New York International Auto Show and featured two wheels mounted along the car's centerline, usung a gyroscope for stability. The full-size model – which relied on stabilizing wheels instead of a gyroscope – also predicted the development of satellite navigation systems, car phones and infrared sensing.

Ford Edge (2015) first official pictures

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 20 November 2013 10:00 Ford will take on the Nissan X-Trail, Volvo XC60 and Korea’s big SUVs with the second-generation Edge, which is coming to Europe around 2015. Unveiled today (20 November) in concept form, the Edge will sit above the baby EcoSport and mid-size Kuga and complete Ford’s European SUV line-up. The concept has a couple of high-tech tricks up its tailpipe: the Edge can park itself without anyone in the driving seat, and steer around obstacles if you’re bearing down on an obstruction.

ENG Automotive Design Summit 2005

Tue, 26 Apr 2005

A sunny Stockholm was the venue for the 3rd Automotive Design Summit organised by European Networking Group (ENG) and this year the event, for the first time, was supported by Car Design News. The summit took place April 18-19 in the stylish Clarion Hotel in the heart of Stockholm, close to the 'Gamla Stan' or old town, and was enjoyed by around sixty delegates from the international automotive design community. The two-day summit opened with an interesting introduction by Sebastien Rosel, Product Manager from Dassault Systemes on the new Catia V5 software.
