This auction is for a new USA made Ford Equal Lock Bellville Spring for 8 inch, 9 inch and 9 3/8 inch Ford Equal Lock 28 spline and 31 spline differential carriers. These are no longer available thru Ford and very difficult to find. These springs were often damaged because of improper assembly and over time they will loose some of their spring tension.  If you need the clutches and steels please check my other auctions, you may want to buy the clutch kit also and save some money on shipping. These will not work in Ford Traction Lock carriers although the carriers are very similar in appearance. The Ford Equal Lock carriers were used from the late 50’s thru the early 70’s and often came factory installed in Mustang Mach I CJ, Cougar XR7 & Eliminator, Torino Cobra, Fairlane GT, Galaxie 500 XL & 7 Litre, Cyclone Spoiler, Comet, Ranchero and even in some of the Boss and Cobra Jet vehicles with almost all engine/transmission combinations such as 289 High Performance, 302 Boss, 351 Cleveland CJ & HO, 390 GT, 406, 410, 427 HP, 428, 429 CJ & 460 Police Interceptor. Although many of the performance models had Borg Warner T-10 or Ford Toploader 4-speeds the Equal Lock differentials were also found in vehicles with Cruise-o-Matic, C-4, FMX and C-6 automatic transmissions.  They were also used in Lincoln Continental and Mark III series Lincolns along with some of the big Mercury and Ford Police interceptor vehicles. Other applications include some of the Ford F100 and F150 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive pickups and the early box Bronco 4 X 4 rear ends. If you have one of these differential carriers that needs a new Bellville Spring here is your chance to get a brand new one made in USA.  If you have a question e-mail me before you bid. Full payment is expected within 5 days of auction close. Sorry, no personal or business checks accepted. Please check my other auctions for more parts and Ford stuff. Thanks for looking. Good Luck Bidding!!!

Jaguar Land Rover – record sales, revenue and profits Tata must be thanking their lucky stars they took a punt on Jaguar Land Rover 5 years ago when the rest of the car world thought they were a bit of a lost dog, because it’s now JLR that are the shining star in the Tata group, with Tata motor sales languishing in troubled waters. JLR has reported record figures for the 2012/2013 year, with vehicle sales hitting 374,636 (up 22 per cent), revenue up at £15.8 billion (up 17 per cent) and pre-tax profits at £1.675 billion (up 11 per cent) on the back of continuing success for all models – and especially the Evoque – and the launch of more new models to offer great promise for even better figures in 2013/2014. This models have included the new Range Rover, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake, new 4WD versions of the XJ and XF (although not for the UK) and new engine options too.

Aston Martin is in talks with Daimler AG over a potential partnership that would see the British luxury carmaker design and build a new Maybach ultraluxury sedan for the German automaker, Europe press reports said. Aston Martin may take engine technology from Daimler in exchange for building Daimler's Maybach cars, the Financial Times said on Wednesday, citing people close to the situation. German automotive magazine Auto Zeitung said Daimler has already commissioned a mock-up of a new Maybach limousine that would use know-how and parts from Aston Martin.

Porsche 918 Spyder crashes in Germany

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Porsche is in hot water with German authorities following an accident involving a prototype version of the gasoline-electric hybrid-powered 918 Spyder on a public road last month, according to reports in the German media. The accident, which took place between the towns of Bietigheim-Bissingen and Ludwigsburg (close to Porsche's research-and-development center), saw the 875-hp 918 Spyder spin out of control and collide with a guard rail. Parts of the new $845,000 Porsche flagship are said to have broken loose in the collision before being collected by an oncoming car.
