4140 FORGED AXLE SHAFTS (App. 5-10% Stronger than 1514H)
These forged steel axle shafts are non tapered with hardened bearing seats and machined to fit a variety of applications. FORGED ALLOY 4140 axles are the one of strongest flanged axles on the market. They are stronger than 1541H ALLOY replacement axles supplied by Currier, Alloy USA, Yukon, Nitro Gear, Superior, Motive Gear/Factory 10, and others. A major advantage of long spline cut to fit axles is if you choose to narrow your rearend at a later time they can be reshortened as required. These axle shafts are available in 30" or 34” long and in 31 ( 28 and 35 available) spline counts. Each 31 spline shaft has 8” of spline so the shaft can be shortened to your specification up to 5-1/4 ” for the Drivers side and 4" for the Passenger side for easy installation. IT IS 30 OR 34 INCHES IN OVERALL LENGTH AND CAN BE CUT DOWN AS REQUIRED. THE DRIVERS SIDE / SHORT AXLE CAN BE SHORTENED A MAX. OF 5-1/4 INCHES AND THE PASSENGER SIDE / LONG AXLE CAN BE SHORTENED A MAX. OF 4" . (PLEASE SPECIFY 30"OR 34"WHEN ORDERING) .
IT HAS A 2-5/8" BRAKE OFFSET AND A 1.38 BEARING SURFACE DIAMETER TO FIT .THE OFFSET IS ACHIEVED BY USING A SLEEVE WHICH IS PROVIDED WITH THE AXLE. THE SLEEVE CAN BE CUT DOWN FOR 2-1/2 ", 2-3/8", 2-1/4" OR 2" OFFSETS.

NOTE : Yukon YA-F9-31-32.87 & Nitro Gear AX-F9-31-32.87 Axles both have a 2.43" brake drum register. They are designed for Ford car drums and backing plates. I do not know of an economical Disc Brake Kit for their application. My axles will not fit this brake system without either enlarging the drum hole to 2.79" or machining down the brake register to 2.43". If you need a disc brake kit to fit my axle I should have it available early 2013. It is the Buyers responsability to verify compatiability of my axles with your rearend housing and brake system. LA Design Challenge 2010 announced

Future products: Mitsubishi turns focus to small, global cars
