This auction is for a 9 inch Ford carrier that has been cleaned and has a new lite weight 31 spline mini-spool installed. This carrier can be installed in your Ford 9 inch third member without affecting the pinion depth, just set the backlash to the original setting and you are good to go. Using the mini-spool set up in your third member effectively locks the rear axles together so that both wheels pull posi-track all the time. There are no case breaks or carrier series numbers so any ratio of Ford 9 inch gears will work on this carrier. The mini-spool equipped carrier is commonly used in many racing applications such as IMCA Modifieds, Street Stock, Bomber class, Enduro Racing and also Demolition Derby cars that are equipped with a 9 inch Ford rear end. * Note, I have these available for Ford 8 inch differentials also. I have several of these available in case you need more than one unit. The carrier comes with the factory cross pin, the factory 2.89 O.D. bearing/race set and the Mini-Spool installed and ready to assemble in your third member. The bearings and races are inspected to make sure they are not excessively worn and should give good service. If you would like to have new bearings installed add $25 to the winning bid. If you would like to have a Chrome Moly cross pin installed add $15 to the winning bid. Mini-Spool differentials are not recommended for everyday street use or use with drag racing slicks. If you have a question e-mail me before you bid. Buyer will pay shipping from zip code 47660. Sorry no personal or business checks accepted. Full payment is expected within 5 days of auction close. Please check my other auctions for more gears and parts. Thanks for looking. Good Luck Bidding!!!

Grand National Roadster Show takes on new judging rules, rodding wins

Mon, 31 Jan 2011

Daryl Wolfswinkel's 1934 Ford, built by Doug Jerger of Squeeg's Kustoms in Chandler, Ariz., won the title America's Most Beautiful Roadster on Sunday at the Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. That in itself was not necessarily the biggest news out of Pomona last weekend, however. In a hobby/passion/love affair such as hot-rodding, you'd expect a '32, '33 or '34 Ford to win.

Suzuki S-Cross concept car (2012) teased ahead of Paris show

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Suzuki today showed us the first glimpse of its new S-Cross concept car ahead of its debut at the 2012 Paris motor show. It's a compact crossover in the C-segment, aka a replacement for the Suzuki SX4 in its twilight years. This pair of teaser images show little of the S-Cross, but we can see a stubby five-door crossover in the mould of the Nissan Juke.

Jaguar Land Rover strong September sales thanks to Evoque & XF 2.2

Sat, 08 Oct 2011

JLR Sales up in September thanks to XF 2.2 & Evoque We’ve had cause to take Jaguar Land Rover (well, Jaguar) to task lately for disappointing sales, particularly in the US and the UK. So it seems only fair, after dishing out disapprobation, that we should balance that with a story about a decent set of sales figures for JLR in September, especially in the face of weakening sales from other manufacturers in the UK. Unsurprisingly – although how long it will last is debatable – China was the strongest performer for Jaguar, certainly in percentage terms, with a rise of 156 per cent for Jaguar and 85 per cent for Land Rover and year on year figures up 60 per cent.
