This auction is for a FORD 9 INCH HOUSING AXLE AND THIRD MEMBER PACKAGE for YOUR 1982 to 2002 GM F BODY CAMARO, TRANS AM, OR  FIREBIRD USING YOUR STOCK TORQUE ARM (requires slight modification) AND YOUR STOCK DISC BRAKES.    THIS CAN ONLY BE USED WITH THE FACTORY GM 10 BOLT REAR WITH STOCK DISC BRAKES.  IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE 9 BOLT AUSSIE REAR THAT CAME IN SOME OF THESE VEHICLES.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE GM 10 BOLT REAR WITH STOCK DISC BRAKES.

-- Here's yet another gem we first saw over at Hemmings: The first, and (so far as we know) only Antarctic hot rod ever built. It might be from 1968-'71; not much else is known, except that it was probably constructed by Navy SeaBees operating out of McMurdo Station. From the one photo we have, it looks like it could have a Jeep flathead four up front.

Some Chevy dealers turn down additional Volt inventory

Some Chevrolet dealers are turning down Volt EVs that General Motors wants to ship to them, a potential stumbling block as GM looks to accelerate sales of the plug-in hybrid. For example, consider the New York City market. Last month, GM allocated 104 Volts to 14 dealerships in the area, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The Peugeot Onyx Supercar Concept is a concept that will never be built and based on the underpinnings of the Peugeot Le Mans car. So Paris 2012 gets treated to the appealing Peugeot Onyx – a Gallic Jaguar C-X75, if you like – looking sexy and sleek on the floor in Paris with its copper and carbon fibre body and use of unusual materials like crystal glass and compressed paper. But it seems, as if we didn’t already know, that Peugeot aren’t planning to build an Onyx supercar – or at least not in their current financial muddle - and have even nicked its underpinnings from their own Le Mans 24hr diesel engine car to give the Onyx some eco and supercar credibility.
