Ford Anglia Grill 1948 37 Hot Rat Rod Gasser English Drag Vintage Pro Street on 2040-parts.com
Coventry, United Kingdom
This is a super rare one hole Anglia grill. This grill fits 1948 type Anglia. They were only used on the English Ford 7Y from 1937 to 1939 and they are very rare. It will give your Anglia a unique look!
This grill is in as found condition. It is overall a nice grill, but is not perfect. It is generally not a rusty grill and the bottom is solid, but the top flange that goes under the hood has surface rust and is rusted thru in a small area near one end as pictured. This is a straightforward repair. Overall the grill is straight, but the bars are slightly pushed in. Again, straightforward to repair. The crank hole has some wear and will want a little welding. The chrome trim is also good, but would require minor tweaking to make perfect. It has a hole drilled thru the spoon molding and the top of the grill. The spoons are available in reproduction and it is the short length spoon which is the same length as the 3 hole grill spoon. It has the red Ford badge which is correct for 1938-9 7Y. The enamel is chipped. It has 2 bolts thru the grill bars near the bottom which don't seem to be doing anything. This grill can be made perfect with some fettling thru out or can be used as is on patina type vehicle, rat rod etc. The grill is located in England in UK and auction price includes postage to 50 state US or Canada. Your country may charge some import duty, and the couriers may charge a brokerage fee. Neither of which are very much, something like $20, but many of the parts sent have had no extra charges applied. |

Volkswagen e-Golf goes on sale – price from £30,845
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The Volkswagen e-Golf (pictured) is now on sale in the UK The Nissan LEAF has almost had the market place for proper family EVs to itself until recently, but the arrival of the impressive BMW i3 -especially when specced with a range extending motor – threatens to make a dent in LEAF sales, and another dent could come courtesy of the new Volkswagen e-Golf, which goes on sale today in the UK priced from £30,845 (£25,845 after taxpayer bribe). In most of the ways that matters, the e-Golf is a regular Golf MK 7, but lurking under the familiar exterior lies a thumping great bank of batteries weighing 318kg (about the same as a car full of passengers) and an electric motor driving the front wheels and good for 113bhp. Range for the e-Golf is up to 118 miles from a full charge, a charge that will take 13 hours from a regular 3-pin socket, a more acceptable 8 hours if you use the optional 3.6 kW wallbox you can spec (for free from British Gas) and a quick charge of up to 80 per cent in 35 minutes.
