Up for auction is a Ford AOD 4-speed automatic transmission in good shape.  It came out of my 1992 5.0 Liter Mustang, and has 77,000 miles on it.

It has an aftermarket valve body in it (not a kit), and shifts quickly and firmly (it would chirp the tires between 1-2 and sometime 2-3).  I don't know the make of the valve body in it, but the trans worked like a champ when I took it out.  Since this is a used transmission, cannot provide any guarantees or warranties.

Get it here cheap.  Local pick up only.

The Honda CR-V 1.6i-DTEC (pictured) does 77.86 mpg in the ‘Real World’ Official car economy figures are pretty useless at being anything other than a guide to the relative economy of cars on sale. But Honda are trying to prove that’s not true. They’ve taken their new CR-V 1.6i-DTEC – which has official economy of 62.8 mpg – out on a mission to prove it can do even more miles to the gallon in the real world than in official tests.

Tesla Eye showcar by IED

Mon, 22 Mar 2010

The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) was the only university to have a stand at the recent Geneva motor show. Occupying a booth in the center of the upper main hall, the school showcased the Eye concept, a recent project designed by students in the Master of Arts Transportation Design program in collaboration with Tesla Motors. According to IED, the Eye concept was born out of research into the identity promoted by Tesla to achieve a new objective: designing an everyday 2+2 sports car conceived to become a status-symbol; a car with engaging features and sports car performance ideally suited to a young, cosmopolitan target demographic.
