Heavy duty, high stall, LOCKUP, torque converter for the 1980-1992 Ford AOD transmissions (11.4" bolt circle and 1.375" crank pilot, which includes the 3.8L, 5.0L & 5.8L engines with lock-up only. Will not fit a non-lockup transmission). This converter has the heavy duty brazed turbine and torrington bearings. The stall speed on this converter will be 2000-2600 RPM and will be fine for up to 500 hp.

Just for a reference, a stock converter will usually have a stall speed of around 1500-1600. Just like all torque converters, your actual stall speed will depend on your vehicle; HP, torque, etc. This is why most companies give a range of stall speeds. There is absolutely "no" core charge, or need to return a core.

Spanish Grand Prix (2013) RESULT

Sun, 12 May 2013

Mercedes did an impressive job in qualifying yesterday for the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix, but even Ross Brawn was hesitant to suggest his team could recreate their qualifying form in the race. And they couldn’t – not by a long shot. Alonso made his intentions clear at the start, moving from fifth on the grid to third by passing Raikkonen and Hamilton and headed off after Rosberg and Vettel.

CAP call on Renault to include battery in Zoe price – when it would cost £25k

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

CAP has called on Renault to include the battery cost in the list price of the Renault Zoe EV, otherwise it won’t be able to set residual values. We reported recently on the price of the Renault Zoe EV – which starts at £18k – and were surprised to find that Renault weren’t including battery costs in the purchase price but charging and extra £70-93 a month for leasing them. That leads to a completely misleading headline price for the Zoe and, as used car price experts CAP say, is akin to Ford removing the engine costs from their cars to reduce list price.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo R planned?

Tue, 31 Jul 2012

The rumours are growing that Hyundai is preparing a Veloster Turbo R with more power than the regular Veloster turbo. We still haven’t seen the Hyundai Veloster Turbo arrive in the UK (although it’s not far off) yet the rumours are already growing that Hyundai are preparing a more powerful Turbo ‘R’ version. Motor Authority have been chatting with Hyundai in the US who seem to be saying there’s room for the Veloster Turbo to get more powerful and more dynamic.
