Description:

Two used genuine Boss 429 Nascar connecting rods.  If you need one or two rods to complete a set these might work for you.  Note the condition of the balance pads on the big end of these rods to see if they come close to matching the rods you have.  I am selling these for a friend.  See my other listings for more of these rods.

There were several types of Nascar rods, this kind with the winged bolt required a special tool to hold the bolt while tightened.  These have polished sidebeams out of the box when they were new from Ford/Holman Moody.  Note that these are NOT the early S type engine rods used in 1969 Boss 429 Mustangs.

Mercedes E-class (2015) gets new nine-speed transmission

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 31 July 2014 12:45 If you thought car transmissions were racing to challenge mountain bikes, wait until you see the new 2015 model year Mercedes E-class. Daimler today confirmed the revised E-class will get the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission on the E350 Bluetec diesel. The Mercedes 9G-Tronic gearbox has an epically long top gear, all the better to reduce fuel consumption and emissions for E-class owners.

Fri, 30 May 2014

This year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este took place over the weekend of 23-35 May. Bathed in spring sunshine, the lawns of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este played host to the annual gathering of 50 of the world's finest classic and concept cars, and 35 motorbikes. Sadly, clashing commitments meant that CDN couldn't jet down to Lake Como this year.

Audi A1 Quattro models ‘on the way’

Wed, 12 Jan 2011

Audi has confirmed it is testing four-wheel drive Quattro versions of the A1 – indicating an imminent expansion of Audi’s supermini range. Although showcased as this one-off at a Quattro publicity event in Montreal, Canada, to celebrate 30 years of the all-corner drive system, Ingolstadt acknowledged at last autumn’s 2010 Paris motor show that Quattro versions of the A1 were in the pipeline. The production A1 Quattro will use the Haldex differential to split drive to both axles; it’s a similar technology to that found in A3 and TT Quattros, as opposed to the mechanical Torsen diff found in larger Quattro models.
