This auction is for a used Pitman Arm from a 1978 Ford 4 wheel drive power steering gear box.  The Pitman arm is in excellent condition and has been bead blasted and painted with black enamel to restore it to a like new condition.  The splines are good and the tapered hole is not damaged or worn and should work just like a new one.  The Pitman Arm can be installed at 90 degree increments in case you need this for your application.  Applications for the Pitman arm are 1978 & 1979 F100, F150 and Bronco 4 X 4 pick up trucks with power steering.  These pitman arms are sometimes used to upgrade earlier F100 and F150 4 X 4 pickups to the better 78/79 model steering set up that improved steering and is more resistant to front end shimmy.  If you have a question e-mail me before you bid.  Full payment is expected within 5 days of auction close.  Sorry, no personal or business checks accepted.  Please look at my other auctions for more gears and parts.  Thanks for looking.  Good Luck Bidding!!!

2013 Toyota Auris revealed ahead of Paris Motor Show debut

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

The new Toyota Auris – based on the old Auris but with a new look – has been revealed ahead of a Paris Motor Show debut. Even though there were rumours that the replacement for the Toyota Auris would arrive with the 2013 Toyota Corolla badge, Toyota has decided to stick with the Auris badge for the 2013 car, revealed today ahead of Paris 2012 (although we did have a leak of the 2013 Auris a few months ago). With competition from the VW Golf and Ford Focus – and a new-found desire to deliver cars that are more interesting to look at and drive – Toyota needs to be on the mark with the new Auris, and certainly in terms of how it looks the new Auris is a lot more interesting than the bland current model.

Thu, 19 Jan 2012

Peugeot has announced that it’s closing its Le Mans and endurance racing programme with immediate effect. The unexpected announcement is a blow to the world-famous French endurance race, as the diesel-powered 908 HDi LMP1s have been the only cars able to challenge Audi’s dominance over the past few years – Peugeot won the Le Mans 24hrs in 2009. On the same day that Peugeot Sport announced the closure of its endurance racing programme, Toyota revealed its new 2012 Le Mans racer.
