This kit will include the following items:

     36006B ... Master W/Steels, C-6 1976-UP, Raybestos Frictions, Steels, with the Toledo Trans-Kit, Overhaul Kit.

     A36010B ... Filter, C-6 2WD, 1975-UP

     36022 ... Band, C-6 Intermediate (Flex)

     36034 ... Bushing, C-6/E4OD Pump Body (Babbitt)(.760" Tall)

     36066B ... Bushing, C-6 Extension Housing (Babbitt)

This is a basic overhaul kit for your transmission. We suggest changing all the bushings, thrust washers and the thrust bearings during our rebuild. There may be broken hard parts in the transmission that was your problem that caused the rebuild. Inspect all the hard parts very closely while you clean the parts. If you are new to rebuilding automatic transmissions, remember to soak all friction materials for 30 minutes in clean transmission fluid before installing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

International Engine of the Year Awards to focus on fuel efficiency

Like the Oscars of the Otto cycle, the Grammys of gasoline, the International Engine of the Year Awards are a big deal in the industry. For 2013, the awards will continue to focus on green technology, pitting gasoline, compressed natural gas (CNG), hybrid and all-electric powerplants against each other for the title of "international engine of the year." Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine took top honors last year. Besides the top award, other categories include best green engine, best new engine and best performance engine, each voted on by journalists from around the world.

Venchurs Vehicle Systems took its new bifuel Ford F-250 Park Ranger pickup to the rocks of Moab, Utah, for the Easter Jeep Safari. The truck won't climb the most difficult trails, but it did do everything a park ranger's truck might need to. “It's the only CNG in Moab,” said Pat Muldoon, vice president of product development engineering for Venchurs, though he couldn't possibly know that.

GM posts $2.5 billion profit, led by North America

General Motors on Thursday posted a profit of $2.5 billion for the second quarter, led by strong results in North America. GM's net income for the April-through-June period nearly doubled from $1.3 billion in the year-earlier quarter. It was GM's sixth consecutive quarterly profit since exiting bankruptcy in mid-2009.
