Jaguar F-Type Coupe – up close and loud on video
Mon, 28 Oct 2013The new Jaguar F-Type Coupe caught on road on video We’ve all been predicting the arrival of the Jaguar F-Type Coupe since the F-Type Roadster arrived, but so far Jaguar are keeping it debut under wraps. It could launch next month in Los Angeles or Tokyo, in the new year in Detroit or even as late as Geneva 2014. But it’s on its way and it’s looking very promising.
OFFICIAL: Alfa Romeo 4C laps the Nurburgring in 8:04s
Fri, 18 Oct 2013The Alfa Romeo 4C (pictured) laps the Nurburgring in 8:04s We wouldn’t normally report on a car lapping the Nurburgring in around 8 minutes; after all, the Nurburgring lap record for a full production car is sub-7 minutes, so 8 minutes seems almost a stroll. But the lap time round the Nurburgring for the Alfa Romeo 4C is worthy of note because it’s a new lap record for a production car with less than 250bhp, and puts the Alfa 4C very much on the map as a performance car. We’d heard rumours a few weeks ago that Horst von Saurma has managed the impressive time in the 4C round the Nurburgring, but Alfa has now confirmed the time – with the 4C shod with road-legal Pirelli Zero Trofeo tyres – was completed on 23rd September 2013.
Malcontent growing over lack of roads policing
Thu, 07 Aug 2014MOTORISTS are not just frustrated by the lack of police presence on Britain’s roads – they now believe there is little chance of law-breakers being caught and prosecuted. The RAC Report on Motoring 2014 reveals many motorists in 21st century Britain think there is little risk of being caught breaking the law at the wheel. Two in five drivers (40%) believe anyone committing common offences such as texting at the wheel of either a moving or stationary vehicle, aggressive driving, tailgating, middle lane hogging on the motorway or undertaking would more than likely get away with it.
