Vauxhall Rake concept (2011) at Frankfurt motor show
Tue, 13 Sep 2011Alongside the Astra GTC and Zafira Tourer, Vauxhall (and thus Opel) is unveiling something a little more ‘out there’ at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. One Lap of the Web: We missed April Fools'
Wed, 02 Apr 2014-- Yesterday was April Fools' Day, a holiday known in some cultures as "April 1st." We chose to ignore the staid, unamusing fake press releases touting everything from Ford C-Max charcoal grilles to Audi sushi to BMW's annual efforts. ("The Ultimate Sleeping Machine" is what Web commenters will inevitably post in an effort to deride the upcoming 2-series.) The folks at Petrolicious begged for a ride in this dangerously exciting speed machine, and by Jove, they got it.
Buick Excelle and Invicta at Beijing
Mon, 21 Apr 2008By Guy Bird Motor Shows 21 April 2008 16:02 Why would such a quintessentially American brand like Buick unveil its cars in China first? Simple economics: China overtook the USA as Buick’s number one market over a year ago, allegedly on the back of the reputation of the old emperor of China having a preference for the brand. Buick (and parent brand GM) couldn’t be happier as the Buick Excelle has become a top ten seller over here. Buick’s double launchGiven this Chinese love it makes perfect sense for GM to launch not one but two cars at the 2008 Beijing motor show.
